On Tuesday 20th October 2026 a number of our FSFA Ground Golfers took part in the Knox Life Activities - Come 'N' Try Ground Golf - played at the Marie Wallace Park in Bayswater. The event was an activity as part of October’s Seniors Month celebrations.
Around 100 participants all keen to try this new game had an
afternoon of fun and friendship enjoying a warm spring sunshine. Three 8-hole
courses were set up – each with its own challenges. Thanks to Simon for
assisting with the set up. We were pleased to meet up again with our teacher
Tony Preston - he is an inspiration to us all!
We enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea sponsored by Knox City
Council.
We plan to invite the Knox group to join us and have a social
day. Dates and venue to be decided and confirmed. Knox Life Activities are just
starting to introduce Ground Golf like us.
A special thanks to all – Simon, Marcia, Victor, Miwa, Lorraine, Vic and Bev.
